Church Life

SUNDAYS

Our services begin at 10.30am and lasts for about an hour and a half, plus a ministry time at the end for those who have a need for prayer.  We enjoy contemporary worship, listening to testimonies and hearing the Word of God faithfully preached. Tea or coffee follow, in the café area, for those able to stay and fellowship with us.

Often, our worship is led by Helen and Andy (above left), with technical support from Mike on the sound desk (see Media) and Dennis or Hilary (below left) on the vision desk. Other times, we utilise YouTube for our worship music.

Children aged from 5-11 years have their own activities during the sermon (KINGZ KIDZ) and the whole service is relayed into the café area which serves as a crèche for Mums/carers looking after their babies or toddlers.

MIDWEEK

Leadership Team

The team usually meets together on Mondays at various times according to other commitments. There are also periodical meetings with Jonathan & Paige Squirrell.

Intercession

Our Intercessors meet together on Tuesdays at 7pm to pray for the UK, and on  Fridays at 10am to pray for our local community, world issues and for our linked missionaries.

Once per month, on Tuesdays at 9am, we join with leaders from other local churches to pray together to pray for each other and our community. There are also regular Churches Together planning meetings in respect of various joint church events. For example, over Lent and quarterly Faith Meals.

Life Group

The members gather at Gill’s home every Wednesday at 10.30am  to study God’s Word and both to learn from and encourage one another. The meeting is put back to 11am when it is preceded by the special service at Driftwood.

Outreach

On Mondays at 10am  a team goes to The Hub (run by the Council in the Town Hall) to chat and pray with folk using the facilities there. In the summer, one go out pursuing other outreach activities, such as “Treasure Hunting”, in Hunstanton seeking to meet both local residents and visitors/holiday makers in order to share Kingdom blessings with them. Most are open to chatting and receiving either prayer, a prophetic word or a blessing.

MONTHLY

Flamin’ Ladies

An informal get together, normally in the café area of our building, every third Saturday 10am-12noon to study, pray and/or do various crafts together, not forgetting lots of laughter and cake eating – (diets permitting!).

Healing

At The Way, we believe that God still brings healing, restoration, and hope into people’s lives today. Healing is not simply about physical needs, but about the whole person — spirit, soul, and body. Through prayer, pastoral support, and the work of the Holy Spirit, we seek to help people encounter the love, peace, and freedom found in Jesus Christ.

Our ministry team is available to pray with anyone who is struggling, hurting, or in need of encouragement. We recognise that every journey is different, and we aim to provide a safe, compassionate, and confidential environment where people can receive support and ministry at their own pace.

Whether you are facing emotional challenges, spiritual struggles, physical illness, or simply need someone to stand with you in prayer, we would love to walk alongside you. We believe God’s desire is to bring wholeness, renewal, and deeper peace into every area of life.

A joyful family occasion on Sunday 31st August 2025 with a son being baptised in Hilary’s pool by his father and uncle!”

Baptisms

It has always been our policy to baptise new believers by total immersion and we are fortunate to have The Wash so close at hand to provide all the water necessary. We are also delighted to have permission to use the pool at Hilary’s home as a warmer alternative when needed.  We provide teaching and ministry in advance, as appropriate, and we pray for the baptism of Holy Spirit for each candidate afterwards. Followed, of course, by a joyful celebration!

Ben’s baptism took place in the sea in June 2021, and was attended by family and friends. It was also witnessed by large numbers of holidaymakers gathered near the seafront in Hunstanton at high tide.
